Police Arrest RevolutionNow Protesters In LagosThirty protesters have been arrested by security operatives in Lagos state on Thursday, October 1.

The protesters under the aegis of Coalition for Revolution codenamed #RevolutionNow stormed various states in the nation and abroad in protest of the poor state of affairs in the country, which coincides with Nigeria’s 60th independence anniversary.

The protesters in their hundreds stormed Ojota and Maryland axis, chanting anti-government songs before security operatives scooped on them.

Some of the protesters were arrested around the Maryland area of the metropolis while at least two others were picked up at Badagry while the march went on.

Eight people were said to have been arrested while inside a bus heading to Ikorodu in Maryland.

At least 21 of those arrested are currently at ‘Area H’ Police Station in the Ogudu area of the city.

The arrest follows a warning given by Police Commissioner, Hakeem Odumosu on Wednesday, September 30 not to embark on the protest.
