British singer, Adele has reportedly reached a divorce settlement with Simon Konecki almost two years after they announced their separation.
According to People, the singer, 32, and her estranged partner, 46, filed the terms of their divorce settlement with the court on Friday, January 15.
Although Adele, whose full name is Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, and her philanthropist and charity entrepreneur former husband, Simon have finished their work to finalise the divorce, the marriage won’t officially be ended until the judge signs off on the paperwork.
The pair announced they were going their separate ways in April 2019, with Adele filing court documents five months later.
They opted to use mediation to work out the details of how their properties and debts would be split up.
Adele‘s representative in a statement in April 2019 said;
Adele and her partner have separated. They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.
At the time they announced their separation, a source close to the couple told Us Weekly that their relationship had changed rapidly into a platonic arrangement.
The source stated;
Their relationship evolved and they became more like friends than lovers. They realized the romantic love was no longer there. They’re disappointed, but it just didn’t work out.
In April last year, Adele’s request to keep the details of her £140million ($171 million) divorce private was granted by a court in Los Angeles.

Adele began dating Simon in 2011, and in October 2012 they welcomed their son Angelo Adkins, now eight years old, before later marrying in secret in 2016.
It was reported they did not sign a pre-nuptial agreement, a written contract created by two people before they are married that lists all of the property each person owns (as well as any debts) and specifies what each person’s property rights will be after the marriage.
The pair will share custody of Angelo, but ‘financial, sales or other confidential business information‘ regarding the proceedings will not be publicly available.
