Veteran Broadcaster Bisi Olatilo Recovers From COVID-19
Veteran broadcaster, Bisi Olatilo has recovered from COVID-19 after receiving treatment for two weeks at Mainland Hospital in Yaba, Lagos state.
The 67-year-old was rumored to have died from the illness but he quickly released a video to debunk the report and said he was being treated for coronavirus.
In a video which was recorded in a hospital, he confirmed that he had contracted the virus. The broadcaster had equally thanked his doctors for working to ensure he was hale and hearty.
Olatilo said;
Nothing is wrong with me. It is the fake news merchants, tell anyone you know that I am strong, nothing is wrong with me. I just want to rest.
He has now been successfully been treated and discharged from the hospital.
Olatilo, the Chairman of Biscon Communications, expressed his gratitude to Managing Director of the hospital, Dr Abimbola Bowale, who he said led a strong team of medical practitioners to treat him for the pandemic.
He also thanked Chairman of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) who helped to ensure he got appropriate treatment.
The broadcaster expressed gratitude to the Chairman of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, Founder of Zenon Petroleum and Gas Company Limited, Mr Femi Otedola, and Chief Segun Osoba among others.
He especially thanked his wife, Folashade Olatilo who kept vigil, praying night and day for his recovery.
Nigeria, as at Monday night, recorded 122,996 coronavirus cases, 98,359 discharged cases and 1,507 deaths.
