#RescueJangebeGirls: Matawalle Orders Immediate Closure Of All Boarding Schools Over Abduction Of 317 Students
Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, has ordered the immediate closure of all boarding schools in the state.
More than 300 students were abducted from Government Girls Secondary School in Jangebe in the early hours of Friday.

Meanwhile, police have launched coordinated search and rescue operation to free the abducted 317 female students.
Zamfara Police Commissioner, Abutu Yaro announcing this while confirming the incident and revealing the number of victims.

The police commissioner also disclosed that the Force Commander of Operations Hadarin Daji, Major General Aminu Bande, Brigade Commander 1 Brigade, Nigeria Army Gusau, and other state government officials led a heavily armed re-enforcement team to Jangebe to complement the ongoing rescue operation in the locations.

He appealed to everyone to be calm as joint efforts of the police and other security agencies will surely lead to a successful rescue of the students.
