Donald Trump To Launch His Own Social Media Platform Following Facebook, Twitter Ban
Former US President, Donald Trump is set to launch his own social media platform in the next two to three months, it has emerged.
One of his top adviser, Jason Miller, who held senior posts in both of Trump’s presidential campaigns, made this known on Sunday to Fox News.
He promised that the social app “will be the hottest ticket in social media” after he was banned from Twitter, Facebook and other platforms.

He stated;
I do think that we’re going to see president Trump returning to social media in probably about two or three months. It’s going to completely redefine the game, and everybody is going to be waiting and watching to see what exactly president Trump does, but it will be his own platform.
Trump’s provocative use of social media was a defining feature of his presidency, as he drew 88 million followers to Twitter and often used tweets to slam his critics or to announce personnel changes or significant policy shifts.
However, Twitter permanently suspended his @realDonaldTrump account on January 8 after determining that his tweets after the riots were “highly likely to encourage and inspire people to replicate the criminal acts that took place at the U.S. Capitol on January 6”.

Trump was also banned, temporarily or permanently, by other major platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Snapchat.
Since leaving Washington and returning to his Mar-a-Lago resort home in Florida, the former president has kept a relatively low profile, largely relegated to issuing occasional news releases.

However, Miller said Trump had been hard at work, saying;
There’s been a lot of high-power meetings he’s been having at Mar-a-Lago with some teams of folks who’ve been coming in. There have been numerous companies.
He claimed the new platform “is going to be big,” with tens of millions of users, but he provided no firm details.
Miller stated;
This is something that I think will be the hottest ticket in social media. It’s going to completely redefine the game, and everybody’s going to be waiting and watching to see what exactly President Trump does, but it will be his own platform.
A company review board will decide whether Trump’s expulsion from Facebook and Instagram will be permanent, while YouTube has indicated that his account’s suspension there could be lifted.
Trump has largely steered clear of public appearances and statements since leaving office–save for a long-winded speech at a conservative conference in February and a few press releases that Miller on Sunday touted as “getting almost more play” than anything Trump ever tweeted.
Miller provided no other details, nor did he say if he will be personally involved.
Despite Trump’s defeat in November by Democrat Joe Biden, he remains influential in Republican Party and has not ruled out a third run for president in 2024.
