UEFA Champions League Draw: Real Madrid Vs Liverpool, Chelsea To Face FC Porto, Bayern Vs PSG

The Champions League quarter final and semi-final draw.UEFA Champions League last-8 draw for 2020/21 has been revealed on Friday, with clubs discovering who they will face in the next round of the competition.

The draw took place at House of European football in Nyon, Switzerland with teams knowing their fate in the quarter final.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are to face Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-final match. The first leg tie will be played at the Etihad Stadium.

City’s boss will be hoping to lift his first Champions League title at Manchester side this campaign, as his side are still in the race for a quadruple of titles this season- Champions League, FA Cup, EFL Cup and Premier League.

Meanwhile, Jurgen Kloop’s Liverpool have been paired with 13-time Champions league winners, Real Madrid in the second quarter-final match.

The paring is a repeat of 2018 Champions league final where Real Madrid defeated the English side 3-1 to lift Europe’s elite title.

Liverpool have lifted the Champions league title on six different occasions and will be hoping to put their bad run of form behind them when they face the Spanish giants.

Also, Chelsea will face this season’s surprise team FC Porto in the quarter-finals. Chelsea’s manager, Thomas Tuchel aspires to continue his perfect run at the London side when they travel to Portugal for the first leg tie against the Portuguese Champions, FC Porto.

The Portuguese side qualified into the last-eight by a surprising win over Italian giants, Juventus while Chelsea knocked out Diego Simone’s Atletico Madrid.

Bundesliga Champions, Bayern Munich will play against French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in the quarter final. It is a re-match of 2020 Champions League final in which Bayern Munich defeated PSG 1-0 to lift the title.

PSG knocked out Lionel Messi’s Barcelona to book a spot in the champions league last-eight , while Bayern strolled past Lazio.

The first leg is set to be played in Germany on April 6 or 7, with the return in Paris a week later (April 13 or 14).
