Healthy Drinks: Cristiano Ronaldo In Disdain Removes Coke Bottles, Replaces It With Water During Press ConferenceA video of Juventus and Portugal player, Cristiano Ronaldo removing two Coca-Cola bottles out of camera shot and advising people to “drink water” has gone viral.

Ronaldo removed the bottles right before pre-match Euro 2020 press conference on Monday began ahead of Tuesday’s Euro 2021 Portugal match against Hungary.

The brand is an official sponsor of the tournament, but clearly, Ronaldo is not a believer in the health downsides relative to water.

In the viral video, just before reporters fired questions at the soccer star, he noticed the drinks placed in front of him and immediately gave them a look of disdain.

After a brief moment of apparent internal debate over whether to make his health statement about water, he went for it.

Rather than just keeping the products there like tournament officials no doubt wanted — Ronaldo straight-up grabbed the bottles and moved them out of his sight.

He then held up a bottle of water, screamed, “agua!” which is Spanish for ‘water’ and then appeared to mumble something about the sodas.

The ex-Manchester United star is known for his extremely healthy dieting, with up to six meals a day and food including calamari and fresh swordfish, and lots of fruit and veg that has allowed him to keep playing at an elite level for many years.

Of course, Ronaldo’s famous for his perfect body — one that was built off of eating healthy and limiting processed foods … and it’s now clear that he takes his diet very seriously.

In fact, Ronaldo’s been on record saying he absolutely hates when his son drinks Cokes and eats fries.

He told reporters last year that he gets annoyed at son, Cristiano Jr when he asks to have fizzy drinks or crisps.

Ronaldo stated;

We’ll see if my son will become a great footballer. Sometimes he drinks coke and eats crisps and it irritates me, he knows that. Sometimes I tell my son to take a dip in cold water to recover after a run on the treadmill and he says, ‘Dad, it’s so cold there’. That’s fine, he is only 10 years old.
