Students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko in Ondo state have taken to the streets and social media to call for the intervention of the state government over incessant trailer accidents.
Over the past few years, there have been various reports of fatal vehicle accidents, mostly involving trailers that have claimed the lives of several students and locals.

Students at various points protested, demanding the intervention of the government by dualising Akungba-Ikare road in a bid to put an end to the incessant occurrence of trailer accidents within the community.
However, the government have over the years kept mum about the situation and the accidents persisted.

In latest development on Thursday, the lives of three final year students were reportedly claimed in another accident, sparking protest among other students.
