Social media comedienne, Mercy Cynthia Ginikachukwu, better known as Ada Jesus, has reportedly passed away on Wednesday, April 21.
She died on Wednesday morning in an hospital in Abuja where she was receiving treatments for kidney ailment, which she believed to be a spiritual affliction.
Ada Jesus’ death comes two days after some well-meaning Nigerians visited the hospital and celebrated her on her birthday.
The sad news was announced by former legislator at Ebonyi state house of assembly, Maria Ude Nwachi, on Facebook saying;
JUST IN! Ada Jesus (Mercy Cynthia Ginikachukwu) has passed away. RIP.
Also, popular activist, Harrison Gwamnishu who lead a group of Nigerians that took Ada Jesus to the hospital confirmed the news of her death.
Ada Jesus was diagnosed of kidney disease and was being offered medical care. However, when her health took a turn for the worse, she sought forgiveness from those she had spoken against in the past, including clergyman, Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanemere Odumejeje, actress Rita Edochie, and some traditional worshipers.
It was alleged that her ailment began after she implied that the prophet and actress Edochie were working together to perform fake miracles.
The prophet, however, vowed not to forgive her until she provides evidence to back her claims even after her family took her to the church to seek forgiveness.
Odumeje accused the comedian of ruining his image with false accusations on social media. He and Edochie later changed their position and declared that they had forgiven her.
Their initial refusal to forgive her got the attention of well-meaning Nigerians who decided to take care of her medical bills in order to get dialysis. Unfortunately, she passed away today.
