Rivers Notorious Robbery And Kidnap Kingpin, Bobisky Dies Hours After Arrest

Notorious robbery and kidnap kingpin in Rivers State, Honest Digbara, better known as Bobisky, has reportedly died hours after his arrest on Saturday, September 12.

MDB earlier reported today that the criminal who was declared wanted was arrested at Korokoro in the Tai Local Government Area in a sting operation led by the Divisional Police Officer of Bori, Superintendent Bako Angbashim with support from a local vigilance group in Tai Local Government Area (TaiOSPAC).

In new development, Bobisky is said to have died following multiple gunshot injuries and machete wounds sustained during the crossfire that led to his arrest this morning.

According to the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Command, CP Joseph Mukan, Bobisky and his gang on sighting Police engaged and in a return fire, his driver was shot dead, while he was arrested alive.

Dastardly acts carried out by the suspects include kidnap of Barrister Emelogu who was killed after collecting ransom, kidnap and killing of DCO, Afam, SP Moses Egbede after collecting ransom.

Mukan added that some of their other crimes are;

Killing of a soldier and a personnel of Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, at Gio pipeline, Ogoni last year. Kidnap of Chief Mbu of Ogu/Bolo who they kidnapped and collected ransom of 7million Naira.

Governor Nyesom Wike had placed a N30million bounty on Bobisky, saying he will reward any member of the public with useful information that will lead to the arrest of the criminal.

He was a terror to many residents in the Ogoni area of the state and had been linked to most of the criminal activities recorded in the area.
