Full List: Ikorodu Bois, Emmanuella, Elsa Majimbo, Master KG Nominated For 2021 Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards

Ikorodu Bois, a popular teenage comedy group in Nigeria that recreates music videos and trailers, and Emmanuella, a 10-year-old comedienne, have been nominated for 2021 Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards.

The stars received nominations in the ‘Favourite African Social Media Star’ category.

Up for the same category are Elsa Majimbo, Kenyan social media figure; Bonang Matheba (South Africa) and Wiam Van den Berg, South Africa social media magician.

Also called the KCAs, the annual US children awards produced by Nickelodeon, an American television channel, recognises the year’s biggest TV, movie, and music acts as voted by viewers of Nickelodeon networks worldwide.

On Thursday, the award’s organisers released the full list of global entertainers nominated for its 2021 event, which has been billed for broadcast on March 15 and will be hosted by actor and comedian Kenan Thompson.

Locally, the event will air on NickToons (DStv Channel 308) on Monday, March 15 and will also repeat on Nickelodeon (DStv channel 305) on Wednesday, March 17.

Justin Bieber leads the list with five nominations, followed by “Stranger Things” with four nominations, while Ariana Grande, “The Croods: A New Age“, “Henry Danger“, “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series“, “Soul“, “Trolls World Tour” and “Wonder Woman 1984“, all tied with three nominations each.

MasterKG, South Africa’s ‘Jerusalema’ hitmaker, is in the ‘Global Music Star’ category alongside BTS (Asia), David Guetta (Europe), Savannah Clarke (Australia), Taylor Swift (North America) and Sebastian Yatra (Latin America).
