Salihu Tanko Yakasai, former Media aide of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State, has relocated abroad.
It would be recalled that Tanko-Yakasai, also known as Dawisu, late February called on President Muhammadu Buhari-led government to either deal with bandits in the country or resign following the kidnap of hundreds of students from some Northern schools.
Following this, it was reported by friends and family that he had gone missing, only to be revealed few hours after that he is in the custody of DSS.
Abubakar Sadiq, who is the handler of the Twitter handle and official website of Kano state government, in a tweet posted on Saturday, February 27, disclosed this whereabout.

Although, DSS initially denied holding him captive, the operative later on admitted that Dawisu was in their custody after many Nigerians took to social media demanding to know his whereabout and calling for his release.
In the wake of the arrest, Kano Governor Abdullahi Ganduje announced his sack over “unguarded utterances” and criticism against the ruling APC.

In October 2020, Ganduje suspended Dawisu for also criticising President Buhari during #EndSARS protest. He was however reinstated about 18 days later.
In latest development, Yakasai shared some photos of himself at the airport via his Twitter page on Wednesday evening.
A Qatar Airways aircraft was also seen at the background. He then captioned the tweet “Goodbye Naija”.
